Acument Global Technologies Names TORX® Drive System World Class Quality Award Winners for 2009
Troy, Mich., USA (August 26, 2010) – Acument Global Technologies, Inc. (Acument), a leading supplier of mechanical fastening technology, has announced the 2009 winners of its TORX® Drive System World Class Quality Awards. Owner of one of the largest and longest-running intellectual property licensing programs in the fastening industry, Acument established the annual award program in 2005 to recognize its high-performing, qualified licensees who demonstrate the greatest commitment to manufacturing high quality, authentic TORX® fasteners and tooling during the previous calendar year. Five drive tool producers and 13 fastener manufacturers representing Germany, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, and the United States were among Acument TORX® licensees receiving the award for 2009 performance.

Acument Completes Divestiture Of Avdel And GEC Business Units
   • Sale follows successful restructuring of Acument’s global operations
LOS ANGELES, CA (August 3, 2010) – Platinum Equity today announced that Acument Global Technologies has completed the sale of Acument’s Avdel and Global Electronics & Commercial (GEC) business units to Asia Trading Company Limited, a company owned indirectly by funds advised by CVC Asia Pacific and Standard Chartered Private Equity Limited (SCPEL). Terms of the divestiture were not disclosed.

 Acument Global Technologies’ Saturn® Fasteners Operation Earns Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award
   • Acument Aerospace California facility earns award for second
     straight year
   • Saturn Fasteners builds on two decades of quality performance
BURBANK, Calif.(February 10, 2010) – Aerospace fastener manufacturer Saturn® Fasteners, Inc., an operation of Acument Global Technologies, today announced it has received a 2009 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers achieving superior levels of performance. Saturn Fasteners, located in Burbank, Calif., received the award for the second consecutive year by maintaining a minimum Silver composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2008, to Sept. 30, 2009.
